A unique supplement of 39 MMM papers from around the globe are published ahead of this year’s MMM19

May Measurement Month was launched in 2017 to increase awareness of the issues surrounding hypertension, the no. 1 risk for preventable death. In its inaugural year, over 1.2million people participated and had their blood pressure checked.

This month, just ahead of MMM19, the individual papers from 39 of the countries that took part in MMM’s first year have published in the European Heart Journal Supplement. This unique supplement of 30 papers, explains the background to the MMM campaign, along with some of the logistical and methodological challenges faced in setting up MMM, and in collecting and analysing the data from such a large cross-sectional study. With the lessons learned from the 2017 campaign, the campaign was repeated in 2018 and is set to be repeated again this May.

Our thanks go to everyone who has been involved in making this possible.
