First aid in case of bleeding

Timely recognition and stopping of bleeding by witnesses to an emergency situation (car accident, trauma, terrorist attack) increases the chances of survival, and allows arriving medical workers to effectively deal with the development of shock in the pre-hospital phase, which in turn gives a positive prognosis for survival and early rehabilitation.

A few simple manipulations by accident witnesses can save victims’ lives!

Training Program:

  • Types of bleeding, the importance of timely stopping bleeding.
  • The concept of hemorrhagic shock, symptoms of shock.
  • Algorithm of pre-medical care for massive bleeding;
  • Modern antiseptic agents available in the pharmacy.
  • Stopping bleeding by applying a pressure dressing and using a dressing bag (Emergency bandage, Olaes modular bandag)
  • Tourniquet technique:
  • CAT (Combat Application Tourniquet); SPAS, SICH
  • SOF Tactical Tourniquet, Wide (SOFTT-W)
  • SWAT, “OMEGA
  • Tamponization of a wound in case of knotty bleeding. Bandages with hemostatic effect (Combat guaze);
  • Chest wound (pneumothorax).
  • Abdominal wound (ejection).
  • Internal bleeding. Signs of internal bleeding.
